Why invest in REITs?
Real estate – specifically, land – is the oldest form of investment. It has proven to be a reliable store of wealth for generations, with a remarkably low rate of obsolescence (particularly institutional quality real estate). Over the long term, global real estate delivers attractive, inflation-protected returns – and it offers investors the potential for both capital and income growth.
The Fund is generally suitable for investors seeking long term capital growth potential who are comfortable with a medium risk of market fluctuations and potential capital loss. The Fund may experience some degree of volatility in the returns in the short term however is expected to perform better compared to the market during periods of financial stress. This, in part, may be due to the Shariah overlays implemented by the Investment Manager.
Investment Objective
To achieve a (total) return at least equal to movements in the Benchmark over a rolling 5 to 7-year timeframe through exposure to a diversified REITs portfolio of Shariah Compliant investments.
